The bond market is technically fully open today, but only due to the unspoken convention regarding 4 day weekends.  Specifically, bonds are never closed for 4 consecutive days.  While that may be the convention, the market doth protest.  Through 10am ET, today's volume is the lowest of the year, including half days like the day after Thanksgiving.  Ultra low volume means we should take any noticeable movement with a grain of salt.

As for the rest of the week, it remains to be seen if it can offer any surprising levels of inspiration or excitement.  The base case is for it to be a snooze-fest and for markets to quickly ramp back up in the following week.  All we can do is keep one ear open, listening for the sounds of alerts on MBS Live while we multi-task on work that would normally be done outside trading hours.
