I had a feeling that was going to happen with Russia saying that may sell off the Treasury supply it sounds like they have.

Wow...I have never seen rates run up over 1% in 3 weeks before...This is what happens when you print money to get rid of a problem! I knew this auction would not go off as well and so did the Adam Q I believe say it might not go off well. 6% PAR by end of today or tomorrow!

Why didn't the FED step in and buy up the TSY auction at a reduced bid...there was talk of the treasury making a big purchase of some sort today. What are they buying? If they are buying MBS they are just throwing their money down the drain...Anyone know what moves they made or are supposed to make today??
