"I believe I read that it is currently possible to claim the $8000 tax credit on your 2008 taxes if you make a purchase in 2009 simply by filing an amended 2008 tax return. Does anyone know if this will also be the case for the $6500 tax credit being claimed on 2009 taxes if the purchase is made in 2010? In other words if I puchase a home in January of 2010 and qualify for the $6500 tax credit, coulid I file my 2010 taxes in February with this credit included?"    View Post
