"Since these reported home sales are "pending" you have to wonder how many of them are going to fall through now that the rates are so high. I'm trying to close on a home on the 19th. I can afford to pay the higher interest rates, but it's really frustrating that I would have to. Part of the reason I sold my house and upgraded to a bigger one right now was to take advantage of the rates, now they are about as bad as they were several years ago."    View Comment
"Are there any strong indicators that mortgage rates will continue to rise this week? I really need help deciding if I should lock my rate now? Thanks, Brian"    View Comment

"Who holds their mortgage now (FHA, Fannie, Freddie, etc.)? If it's FHA, we can do a Stremline Refi where there is no income docs required and DTI is never an issue. Just an idea."    View Post
"I apologize if my last comment came off a little harsh. We lend in 42 states, however, a majority of our business is here in CA and HI. It really depends on where you are. :) I completed a refinance on a two unit in San Francisco, CA last month and was able to get them a Super Conforming Loan for $800,000 at 5.125% paying only 1 Point. One of our L.O.'s is getting ready to fund a S.C. loan in Hawaii for $938,250.00!!! 1 Unit!"    View Post
