"Great outlook on the average buyer. If only more agents were trained to assist buyers in these distressed markets of foreclosures aka Energy Efficient Mortgages, FHA 203k REHAB Loans or Weatherization MTGS would only enable more homes to return to their glory days, sustain our communities, and put more contractors to work. Housing FIX has to start by fixing what we already have EXISTING."    View Comment
"Its unfortunate that good quality loan officers and realtors suffer at the hands of tight regulation. Or as some say "Bad Things Happen to GOOD PEOPLE"! But the reality is this, appraisal deals killing real estate deals is something that puzzles me. We have over 128,000,000 existing homes in the US of which 74% were build before 1990, does not most americans think our existing housing market needs a FACE LIFT? What are we suppose to do, continue moving consumers into these homes and praying..."    View Comment
"128+ MIllion Homes in the US of which 74% were built before 1990. FHA 203k program only had 3400 reported REHAB loans in the US out of 8 Million Transactions in 2007 , end year 2010 it was close 30,000 units closed. FHA/FNMA/VA need all to embrace a remodeling program just like FHA has in place (it too is being revamped with a new mortgage letter any day) and open it up to investors under certain qualification. This is our BEST next NEW DEAL for housing..our existing homes."    View Comment
"And to boot most americans cannot even afford to make improvements to their homes to sell or upkeep, hint the other debacle is over 128+ million homes in the US of which 74% were built before 1990. So goes to much government regulation, underwater mortgages, falling values, and aging homes..where doe it stop?"    View Comment
"One concern in our market is those that have refinanced in the last year or two would really not have any net result to refinance again, not to mention those that have not are faced with houses not appraising for equitable value to allow a refinance to be cost effective and requiring allot of money out of pocket to accomplish such. My personal believe is we have more homes that need resonable improvements and renovations that many clients would buy quickly if we had more resources of FHA 203k/Energy..."    View Comment
