I think the real reason it was rejected is due to the appearance that the spider's face is on his butt.

No need to study.  Which end of a tarantula has the teeth?  The skinny end.

Maybe it was a spider with a tattoo or a defensive adaptation to deter a predator from attacking from behind...  lol
