I plan to buy a house and do construction before moving in.  Can I submit the building plans the the governtment office before I get the mortgage, or am I hurting my chances for getting a mortgage? Do the banks look at whether their are building plans when deciding to approve mortgage?

Are you planning to have the mortgage to pay for the construction - or after the construction?  I am a bit confused by your plans for a mortgage - please clarify.  Thanks!
