Great question.  I think I would if I were a Black Republican.  If I were, it would be easy to vote against Obama the candidate, but I would be torn after voting against history as well.  Fortunately for me I'm a Democrat so no worry there.   I'm not sure how I would handle voting against something of this magnitude but I imagine I would take comfort in that fact that Obama represents the possibility win or lose and that means a whole lot. 

The saddest part for Black Republicans is the fact that while their party would elect a Black, the likelyhood is extremely low for multiple reasons.  Racism being the least of them.

..... if i had to vote, McCain... i remember the morning i saw gorgeous sarah palin, woke up, turned on tv to bloomberg, and i said, "that chick is so hot, McCain just won".... sadly i think that whats this election has turned out to be..... she is hot, so lets pick them, or girl power lets go for the women .....   even if everyone vote one direction, with the electoral college and its government like logic, popular vote could possibly never win until, there is reform with electoral college. I remembered the day i was tought about the ellectoral college, long story short, my teacher requested i do not fight the federal system while still in school...... and was the first time i heard "IT IS WHAT IT IS"....  

I would be happy to never hear that again.

My wife and i just voted today and we did vote for McCain.  I am not very hopeful as i feel he ran a horrible campaign and missed so many opportunities.  I dont think Obama will win, but rather McCain will lose.

I will keep hope for McCain and i will at least be able to say he won my state.

My wife and i voted today, and we voted for McCain.  I dont think McCain ran a good campaign and he missed a lot of opportunities.  In my opinion, Obama will be next president not cause he won rather McCain lost.

I personally hope that it is McCain but I have to admit he has run a horrible campaign. He may still win despite himself though. It is unfortunate that he didn't win the Republican nomination in 2000, the world would be a much better place today. I'm voting McCain and praying that Palin never ascends...

I think McCain's strategy of late is the best one he could use--Obama will take more of your money.  That theme could make up people's minds near the end as they ponder a guy with one year of experience in the US Senate who likes to spend other people's money.

Agreed, but you have to read the title of the poll, "Who WILL be our...", it's not who you WANT it to be.  I think (unfortunately) that Obama has this one in the bag.
