I had a title company call me trying to get TBW contact information for a payoff.  They had requested a payoff from TBW over 1 week ago by fax and phone call, but have received nothing and cannot reach anyone at TBW for help...which is the general outcome these days.  The title company tried calling Bank of America for information....they were told that if B of A is assuming that loan it would be several more weeks before they would be able to do anything.  Someone needs to hold TBW accountable for all the BS they are putting us and our customers through.  If TBW management has tucked their tails and run(which is evident that is what's happening) then some entity (Freddie Mac, the government, etc) need to grab this bull by the horns and provide the public with some information on what the hell we and our customers need to be doing.  There is conflicting information or no information at all.

Spoke to Bank America this morning concerning a payoff of a TBW mortgage.  Payoffs are to be sent to this address:

The real problem will be getting the title company to use the payoff that you currently have (assuming you were able to get one before TBW quit answering the phones).  I know a lot of title companies have taken the position that they are going to wait until the transition occurs and they can get a new payoff statement directly from Bank America.

Title company never got the payoff statement from TBW...still in limbo.  Did Bof A confirm that they were assuming TBW conventional loans?   I have yet to see any official press release of this.  HUD announced this for TBW FHA/VA loans, but no official statements have come out for TBW conventional loans being transferred, that I know of.
