The taxes are what would concern me.  Interesting idea though.

I saw this on CNBC this AM, but I missed most of the story, what is he doing exactly? Guess I will read the story now..

Earlier this year there was a news story of someone else doing this.  Pretty novel idea, sell raffle tickets for $50 to $100 each, once you sell enough to cover the sales price, you draw a winner and they get the house.  So, someone could potentially buy 1 raffle ticket and own a home.

The house looks pretty nice.  Probably easier to sell the 31,500 tickets @ $50/ea than to sell a $1M home.
