Ran across this website while looking for loan modification information for a client.  It's been pretty good to send people to that need help and want to do it themselves.

    www.loansafe.org

    Public Serive Announcement:

Also for anyone thinking of getting into loan modifications many states now are issues statements saying loan modifications are covered under mortgage broker/lending regulations.  I'm in Colorado and our Department of Real Estate Directors basically outlawed profit making on loan mods unless you're an attorney providing legal services and if you are offering loan mods you must be a licensed mortgage broker.

You may now return to your regular programming.

I second what Stephen says as Loansafe does not have a very good reputation. Please dig deeper!

I've had a few replys saying don't use loansafe.org.  My original post was saying to use the sight for reference when thinking about asking for a modification. I wasn't even aware that loansafe provided any services directly and was only implying the site had good "free" information. I'm assuming there are services offered through for profit companies on the site and wouldn't recommend any service for modifications unless you've exhausted every possibility on your own first.

The "free" information links up to sales reps too. Dig deep enough online and you will find out this companies previous practices and why they have a bad reputation...
