Most asset management companies have a website, but the individual banks or lenders that they represent may not be available.
Asset managers are often contracted by lenders, and HUD lists asset managers on their websites. However, an individual buyer of an REO will need to go through an agent and either contact REO listing brokers or your buyers agent can contact them for you.
The asset management companies cannot sell a property to you in most cases. The sales are done almost exclusively through approved REO brokers that are associated with that particular asset manager.
