Joined the mortgage business out of college in Dec 06 been working at the same place since PNC/Nat City in St. louis, MO.
25 years old and some consider me the Lebron James of mortgage
St. Louis, eh....
where'd ya go to high school?
Actually grew up in Bloomington, IL moved here after college
I've lived in St. Louis at different points in my life and it is the funniest thing..... every one down there just loooooves to ask each other that question....
lol that's what i figured you were getting at.
I haven't really had to deal with it but many people warned me about that when i moved here.
Yeah..... I had a conversation with the guy who was brought in from up north to run American Home Mortgage's Direct to Consumer division in Chesterfield. One of the things he was responsible for was ramping up staffing. He told me that when that process started he got a huge pile of resumes for all kinds of positions --and he wanted to throw all of them out. After all, he figured, what kind of goof puts their high school on a professional resume. When he asked someone "hey, what's the big idea? What's with everyone having their high school on their resume?" they took him aside and explained that it was a deeply-rooted St. Louis parochialism. Having had previous knowledge of it, I nearly spit up my coffee laughing.
Go Cubs!
Juan Boldizsar:and he wanted to throw all of them out. After all, he figured, what kind of goof puts their high school on a professional resume
I wouldn't want to work for such an narrow-thinking idiot. lots of us have put our H.S. and date graduated on a resume as a way of saying "Hey, I'm old enough to have weathered many many of these storms. " And, could be the person interviewing is an Alum of your h.s., thus a connection.
Just sayin'
As far as stuff that isn't addressed in the bio or stuff that can use some more personal explanation:
- I live in Central New Jersey but should you live in Southern New Jersey then I live in Northern Jersey and if you live in Northern Jersey then I live in Southern Jersey. If by some slim chance this makes no sense to you then neither will New Jersey!!
Hobbies:
- When not involved in the biz, I really enjoy mind numbing activities such as playing Tiger Woods XBox video game as well as watching TV. A little bummed that American Idol, Survivor AND Lost are all over for this season but that just means I am that much closer to Football Season...GO G-MEN!!
Red or White:
- Vodka and Grapefruit juice, please?
Family:
- Married and one 14 year old son. 2 Cats but they're not mine, they are my wife's. I just happen to live in the same house.
Sense of Humor:
- See above answers and I'll let you all be the judge
Guilty Pleasures:
- as mentioned before, Amercian Idol is probably my biggest Guilty Pleasure but I am sure there are others many of you would consider to be guilty pleasures that I'm just not thinking of so, if at all possible, please forgive me.
Obama or McCain:
- Given the choice, there is none...OBAMAMANIA!!
What DON'T you care about that most others do:
- Baseball - The first time the players went out on strike, that's when they lost me. No offense but I just don't see how when you get paid so much money to play a kid's game that you can go out on strike!
TV shows:
- Already answered but American Idol, Survivor(been watching since the very first one), Lost and, oh yeah, SEINFELD repeats every day. Oh, and did I mention I enjoy watching the New York Giants??
Movie:
- All time most re-watchable movie for me : So many but I'll go with Lost in America. An oldie but a goodie. If you haven't seen it please consider this a very strong recommendation!!
What would you be doing if not Mortgage/MBS market:
- Selling something to someone
Ideal Cars for 20, 60, and 100k+:
- 20: I guess the popular answer as of today, 5/26/09 would have to be the most expensive Chrysler since I heard they're giving them away.
- 60: Would never spend this much on any item that immediatly loses value once driven off the lot.
- 100k+: Please see previous answer.
Well, here's hoping I did my duty and added something to this lovely community. If so, great! If not, so sorry (not really but I did feel obligated to state that). Here's wishing one and all a wonderful and prosperous Summer!!
Welcome Stu.
Thanks a lot Kent!

I could care less about nice cars. I am a point A to point B kind of guy. Hopefully one day I will be rich and famous but even then I don't see myself buying anything over $20K. I will put that money to use elsewhere with a boat or something.
I'm thinking about starting a website called "bottom of mind"
