We purchased a home that was originally priced at $849,900 for $710,000. The sellers took the "take it or leave it" offer on their 3400 sq. ft. home, which is new, built in 2005. I think the market could soften even more as more inventory comes online. We were going to sit it out until mid late November, but we found "the" house we've been looking for, and feel we got a reasonable buy on the home. Be patient if you're looking... you'll save big $'s in the long run.

RE:Housing Bubble Watch: NAR Announces the Return of the Buyers Market

Mortgage interest rates have fallen - which is also good for buyers. This was GREAT NEWS for some of my clients! They could affort a larger home!
