When houses were appreciating borrowers had at least two options that are not presently available - sale and refinance. So we now have a large group of people who can not and could not ever service the debt to own a house. The risk to the markets is great.

And subprime is only 20% of all loans. So technically 97% of ALL Loans out there are good and the homeowner is making the payments.

RE:MBA Urges Regulatory Restraint as Delinquency and Foreclosures Rise

This post is in response to the previous post. I would like to know those numbers as well, but does it really matter ( a late loan payment is a late loan payment regardless of race ). In my mind race shouldn't in matter 07. I hope and pray as a industry we are not looking at this data and making it a racial issue.

RE:MBA Urges Regulatory Restraint as Delinquency and Foreclosures Rise

Ok we hear about foreclosures, short sales etc. Why only hear the bad??
