The Fed giving up regulation over banks to another agency? Wow. Shows that times have changed. Is it that our markets are becoming so sophisticated that new agencies, with new abilities to oversee all types of financial institutions, maybe a good short and long-term solution to our recent challenges in the U.S.? 12 months to discuss and rework the suggested plan is a long time, in a year where there is a Presidential election. Keep us posted.

RE:Massive Financial Regulatory Changes Proposed by Paulson

Once again, too little, too late! I wonder how many can see thru the smoke that this supposed "fix" is nothing more than
another invasion of privacy. The FED lowers rates and the lenders keep raising rates and while all of this is going on the
banks are charging "loan shark" interest rates on credit cards.
Does anyone really know what's happening? Does anyone care?!

RE:Massive Financial Regulatory Changes Proposed by Paulson

A private entity taking over every government oversight division for banking, investment and commodities and lending? Maybe we should just hand it all over to Hallburten, and the Carlye Group.
