Good stuff AQ. Unfortunately, I have floaters that I just can't due to UW issues. They're issues that should get resolved, but I can't risk it. Guidelines, and an UW's interpretation of those GL's, are 2 very different things these days. Plenty of cushion though if rates swing up some next week. Edgar's probably writing a story for us right now. I enjoy his posts.

re: MBS OPEN: Choppy Benchmark Prices. Rates are great and we are moving sideways. We could go higher and we could go lower. We've been pretty stable for the past few days, today is Friday so beware the Friday selloff. The curve steepened. MBS trading was somewhat boring today....supply is slowing and most of the trading flows occurred when MBS yield spreads widened up vs. benchmarks. Up in coupon was clear winner, so my AM strategy to buy 5.5s and 6.0s was profitable, albeit only a tick or a tick+. Mortgage rates holding near 6 month lows....dont sit on floats too long.

re: MBS ALERT: Lows Of The Day, But Still Within The Range

I saw BC today in the comics section of today's newspaper. ;-) Seriously, the level of expertise here at MND is completely unmatched anywhere else. I've tried other services and it's not even close. It seems like the window of mbs price movement and lender repricing is narrowing and will continue to narrow, so only services such as what MND offers will be sufficient to be able to take advantage of those opportunities.
