Q: Am I entitled to request an "payment activity report" from creditor to include all current balance, interest payments, principal payments, late fees, ect.?
  • In my experience I have never been refused a request for verification of mortgage history as we in the business call it. However depending on the lender they may have certain procedures that must be follow in order for them to supply you with the information you're requesting.

My advice to you would be to draft a letter of request with all of your personal information including your account number and the time period you are looking for the payment history on. Call your mortgage company and ask them for a mailing address or better yet a fax number or email and department where you can send your written request to, then sit back and relax. You should have your mortgage history information in no time.
