Q: What if I was presented with a home inspection report and I later find out that the inspection report is not enitirely true?
  • There are a few things that I would like to let you know about home inspections.

    1. If this Home Inspection was provided to you, I can only assume that you did not get your own Home Inspector. I believe that it is very important to get and PAY for your own home inspection. A home inspector works for you, as you hire them and pay for them. Their job is to point out good and bad points about the home that you are going to purchase. To insure that you are buying what you think you are buying.

    2. When you say that the report is not entirely true, ask yourself, is this something that could have possibly been missed during the inspection? What I mean by this question is, do you feel that the inspector did not place a problem on the report to benefit the seller of the property?

In closing, hire your own home inspector. Ask for several referrals of home inspectors and do some homework on the inspector before you request their services.
