Q: What happens if I don't send a full mortgage payment?
  • Communication with your lender is a must. If the full payment is NOT received, they will make it show as a 30 Day Late on your credit bureau. Please keep in mind, that if you are having a problem making your payment, the absolute worse thing you can do, is not communicate with your lender. They may have a program to help you out, if you only ask! Communication is the most important aspect to your borrower and lender relationship.

Some lenders, and I mean just a couple, may even do a defered payment which basically takes this months payment and places it as your final payment on the loan. Just give them a call to see what, if anything, they can do to assist you in keeping your mortgage in good standing.
