Even though it's the default expectation that early-close sessions juxtaposed to holidays will be light in volume and uneventful in terms of volatility, they don't always play out as-expected. Today's did. Production MBS held inside a 4 tick range, the highs and lows of which, were set in the first hour of domestic trading. Volume was low and bond markets weren't eager to chase the emotional reaction to a few positive Black Friday anecdotes seen in the stock market. The world will get back to more informed trading next week with a full round of economic data as well as the reinvigoration of the Treasury Auction cycle. Monday is quiet on the domestic calendar, but Eurozone officials say it should be the day that ends the multi-week debate over releasing Greece's next bailout tranche.
