When applying for a Mortgage Broker License in Vermont, applicants pay a non-refundable Investigation Fee of $250.00. Those desiring to become a Mortgage Broker also must provide a Surety Bond in the amount of $10,000.00. Recent Financial Statements, along with a thorough Biographical Report on one’s business and personal past are also included with the application.

Once the applicant has become a Mortgage Broker, the annual license fee is $250.00.

Mortgage Brokers in Vermont may be members of The Vermont Association of Mortgage Brokers (VTAMB), which was incorporated in 2002. The association is an affiliate of the National Association of Mortgage Brokers. Both organizations provide educational resources for those who want to become a Mortgage Broker.
