About Me

I write loans in all states, and strive to provide my clients with honest answers and responsive service.
I follow the real time mortgage backed securities market to help predict market changes and provide my clients with insight and sound advice, and also enjoy contributing to Mortgage News Daily.

I was formerly at MetLife Home Loans the entire time they had a lending division, but when Met ceased its mortgage operation, my group joined Wintrust Bank, a Chicago bank lending nationally. We still have the same production and processing team, nice to have my underwriter sit outside my office. Glad to be able to originate loans in all states, closed loans in CA, GA, OH, IL, KS, VA, WA, TN, AR, NV, and MO already this year!

I've been a loan officer for 11 years, and joined MetLife Home Loans in Sept 2008 when they bought my prior employer, First Horizon Home Loans. I look at the loan process from an engineering standpoint (BS, Ceramic Engineering, Iowa State University, 1980). Loans are like jigsaw puzzles, and I work hard at identifying what pieces are relevent to each loan prior to submitting the loan. By doing that, I am able to not only help my clients understand how their loan will proceed, but also feel comfortable that they were completely informed on all aspects of their loan from the start. MetLife ended their mortgage operations 1/31/2012, and my staff and myself are joining Wintrust Mortgage, but with same office and phone # (after a brief switchover).

Glad to join the Wintrust Mortgage team, and still continue to work with my great processing staff from MetLife. I've been using the new FHA program to lower rates with no appraisal or costs to my borrowers, what a wonderful deal that is! Crazy to be writing FHA and VA loans at 3.25% and usually paying costs for my borrowers too!

Ted helped us with refinancing our primary residence and an investment property, taking advantage of the record low rates available in early 2013. There were multiple transactions, he's in the Mid-West and I'm on the East Coast, I disputed the appraisal - nothing threw him. He and his team worked really well with my title company here locally with no problem whatsoever. Communication was constant with us during the process even adapting to my e-mail or phone communication preference based on my schedule. He managed to extend our rate lock for a few days, even though rates had risen by 3/8 of a point from our lock. As with any re-fi, it should be that the quicker you are with providing information, the quicker you'll close. Definately the case here.
