A former Accountant, I began working for Wintrust Mortgage in 2012, as a residential mortgage specialists. Having worked in lending before, I was excited to join an organization with the reputation and technology provided by Wintrust Mortgage. Wintrust Mortgage not only gives me the opportunity to compete as a federally chartered bank and lend in all 50 states, it also allows me to provide the same level of customer service that local clients of the Wintrust Community Banks have grown to love.
My mortgage career started in 2005 working my way through college, when I accepted a position with CitiFinancial. I was able to be involved in every aspect of the mortgage process from origination, processing, underwriting, closing, and finally servicing the loans. As a top producer in the Midwest Region my first year in the company, I was recruited by CitiMortgage. As a wholesale account executive with CitiMortgage I worked with local mortgage brokers ensuring their clients loans were properly qualified, underwritten, and funded. I was a full product specialist at CitiMortgage, certified in conventional, Alt-A, sub-prime, government, and community lending. The experience I gained as a wholesale account executive has enabled me to effectively research and stay on top of the rapidly changing product guidelines, and ensure my customers are in the best possible programs to accomplish their financial goals.
In 2008, the rapdily declining economy lead to large scale changes in the mortgage industry. I utilized my BBA in Accounting that I earned from Grand Valley State University, and worked as an accountant both for large corporations and small businesses. My experience working with tax returns, property tax appeals, and general accounting, make me an ideal candidate to work with self employed clients and/or clients with complicated income.
