About Me
I have spent the majority of my career in consultative sales roles with a focus on secure SaaS solutions and other technologically advantageous software in both the private and public sector. I initially fell in love with on demand web based technology when I saw the effects of its implementation on my customers at my first sales job with UPS, handling 200 corporate accounts in San Fran. The company encouraged us with a quota for "technology enhancements" for our current customer base in order to add value beyond providing corporate discounts and/or being cheaper than Fed Ex or DHL. I was able to exceed this quota because I came to realize that our technology made their lives easier and streamlined processes which allowed them to save time and focus more on their core competencies versus administrative type activities. I became hooked on selling technology at this point because I realized that I no longer had to rely on price as the main negotiation factor when selling, as I was able to add value in such a much more important and strategic way for the customer.As I continued to develop professionally over the years, I moved on to selling exclusively SaaS solutions with a growing start up company in the San Jose area that partnered with a much less well known emerging giant at the time, named Salesforce.com. And then on to the Federal government vertical where I sold essential endpoint data encryption software in order to help protect the mobile devices (such as laptops and smartphones) of government officials. These devices had rapidly come onto the scene through innovation but simultaneously introduced a plethora of security and data breach concerns. Finally, I evolved into running my own consulting firm with a focus on leveraging social media while also maintaining the privacy and security of your organization. Currently I have accepted a full-time position with the leader in secure social media solutions for the banking industry called Gremlin Social.
