I am a consumer law attorney based in Asheville, NC. I have practiced real estate law in NC for the past 7 years, including managing the western NC office for a state-wide law firm from 2003-2005. Since 2005, I have had my own practice, with a brief partnership in 2008. After the birth of my son in 2009, I decided to go back to work with my husband, Sean. He also has a state-wide practice concentrating in Lemon Law and automobile fraud. My background in real estate closings and disputes has put me in a great position to help consumers and homeowners work throught the loan modification process. This area came to me organically, as former clients began contacting me in 2008 regarding their options to stay in their homes and avoid foreclosure. Since I've been back to work in August 2009, the loan modification market has exploded. More and more people are feeling the effects of the decline of the housing market and the unstable economy. The government - both federal and state - have responded by addressing consumer concerns and putting pressure on banks to help people modify their mortgages. I am proud and passionate about helping consumers and homeowners take advantange of federal and state programs, and even internal lender programs to modify their mortgage payments to affordable levels.
