I started in the financial industry with PNC Bank in Pittsburgh but made the switch to origination shortly thereafter. My career continued to grow when I joinced GMAC Mortgage in 1999. There I gained the much-needed training to "bring it all together". I was successful enough there to be offered the FHA/VA Coordinator position at a small regional bank (Second National Bank in Warren, OH). That is where my career really took off. I joined them in March of 2000 (yes, just before a huge refi boom). I have been with them - sort of - ever since. Although I haven't changed employers, my employers have changed on me! Through a few mergers and acquisitions, I am not gainfully employed with Huntington Bank in Canfield OH.
I absolutely love what I do and can think of no other career that allows one the choice of freedom that we have. Of course, that having been said, I have often told clients, business associates and fellow loan officers that the best part of m job is that I make my own hours. However, the WORST part of my job is that I make my own hours. Any originator that is reading this now fully understands the breadth of that comment!
I am looking forward to many, many good years to come (despite HVCC)!
