From a Junior Engineer, right into being a Realtor. After many years in Commercial Real Estate, multi-family, shopping center leasing and sales I learned to appreciate Residential, and made the transition, helping people into their first home. That lead to managing three offices of Red Carpet Realty in Southern Alameda County, California, [the first of the Realtor franchises], for many years. An opportunity presented itself from a fellow I had introduced to the Real Estate brokerage nearly thirty years before, whom had since become the Vice President of a major Mortgage Bank and direct lender. So I joined that firm beginning in South PA building a base originating and servicing Mortgage Loan Brokers as well as Retail Mortgage Origination. I continued several years in mortgage banking until the 'big bust' of 2009. Fortunately, the lender I represented was doing business in 45 States, had never solicited sub-prime loans and had the reputation of being one of the top 25 FHA lenders in the country. I took that knowledge and experience in Mortgage Banking to become a full time Investor and Developer. With the ongoing help and training provided by REIMatcher this has become a new and rewarding venture in my old age. Still, the greatest blessing is to enable the matching of Sellers and Buyers solving problems to their mutual benefit. I love a Win, Win, Win solution!
