David Bayer is CEO of DataBanq, a leading provider of software based internet marketing solutions for local businesses. His success with his own sites in the real estate lending category including www.personalhomeloanmortgages.com and www.ehomemortgages.com have established David as a thought leader in online mortgage marketing and lead generation.
David began his career in 1998 after graduating from Columbia University (B.A. English) when he started PopWall.com, an e-commerce site which sold dorm room products such as bean bags, posters and inflatable furniture to college students. Popwall.com was named by Businessweek as one of the Top 5 gift sites on the web in 1999. In addition to e-commerce, the site collected data analytics on credit card and discretional income spending in the 18 to 24-year old demographic.
1 year later David and his team were responsible for selling the very first motorcycle on the Internet. As Director of Internet Strategies for Ducati Motorcycles, David was also instrumental in the generation of $70MM in revenue for Ducati.com. His efforts helped establish Ducati as the 7th highest grossing E-commerce site in Europe during the same period.
Over the next 5 years, David worked with companies such as Best Buy, CompUSA, Office Depot, AT&T, Liberty Mutual, ADP and The New York Times and created the online marketing strategies which led to an estimated $5MM revenue increase.
David has presented at a variety of conferences including Associated Cities, Florida Venture Conference, National MS Society Technology Summit, among others.
