In 2000, Charlottesville Area Association of Realtors (CAAR) recognized Matt as the Affiliate of the Year for his efforts promoting the real estate community locally.
In 2006, President Pat Sury awarded Matt the President's Award from CAAR. He was presented this award for his efforts as Co-Chair of the Realtors Political Action Committee.
Matt is currently President of Central Virginia Mortgage Professionals, a group he helped to found three years ago.
