Beth Paterson a Reverse Mortgage Expert, is Executive Vice President of Reverse Mortgages SIDAC. Ms. Paterson started her reverse mortgage career in 1999 as a Senior Loan Advisor then progressing to a branch manager with one of the largest Reverse Mortgage companies in the industry before creating “Reverse Mortgages SIDAC,” now a division of Greenleaf Financial, LLC.

Ms. Paterson is the author two books including "Understanding Reverse Mortgages," a book written to help educate & simplify information on Reverse Mortgages.

With her years in the industry & known for her expertise in the field, she has been consulted for & quoted in numerous articles including the Star Tribune, Pioneer Press, & Finance & Commerce. She appeared on the award winning, MCN show, Strictly Seniors. Since 2002 she has published a newsletter, The Reverse Mortgage Gazette/News, Ideas, & Stories for Senior Homeowners & Their Advisors. Ms. Paterson has presented to various care giving, community & professional groups including the Minneapolis & St. Paul Senior Workers Associations, Life Underwriter Training Counsel (LUTC), & All District Legal CLE. Ms. Paterson served as a panelist for the Financing Long-Term Care in the 21st Century Conference co-sponsored by the Center on Aging, University of Minnesota & Minnesota Department of Human Services.

With the 2009 proposed Minnesota legislation, Ms. Paterson testified at all the hearings, met with the Assistant Attorney General & legislators, & provided proposed amendments with the protections the legislators are looking for yet not restrict the reverse mortgage lenders. She was instrumental in the bill being vetoed to protect seniors & not have a negative impact on the reverse mortgage industry.
