    Your question can be read in multiple ways . . . but it sounds as though a buyer's agent may have offered to pay a portion of the commission as a referral fee to someone known as a "facilitator" in order to locate a home?

    Whether or not this is "ok" would depend upon a lot of factors - it would generally be a little suspect, but allowable in certain cases. Can you give us a better understanding of the scenario, as well as the state where this was occuring so that we can better answer?
