The property I am renting is going up for sherriffs sale in a month. If I do not move out before the sale, how long to I have to vacate after the sale is complete+

If you do not vacate prior to the sale, the new owner will be in touch with you to provide you with a timeline for moving. Depending on your circumstances and state regulations, it could be quite quick . . . or it could be months.

Some states have implemented new laws giving renters a longer time frame to move out.  In Washington State the foreclosure laws were changed this year and a tenant has 60 days from the sale date to move out and an owner has 20 days to move out.  I don't know if the time frames are different for a sheriff's sale.
