If you are the seller of the property...If you have accepted a lease with option to buy contract you have already sold the property.
If you are the buyer in a lease option contract... The seller would have to have your written permission to do so.
Please clarify who wants to sell the property. Are you the buyer? Seller? Someone interested in purchasing the property or the lease option contract? We'll need more details to assist you.
You will need to get written approval from all parties involved in the lease option contract as well as any other interested party to either transaction before you proceed. Has either party to the lease option contract defaulted on the contract? If a Realtor was used to put together the lease option you a commission will likely be owed on the transaction if it was not completed because of default, fraud, etc. If there is a good faith deposit involved return of the deposit would need to be negotiated.
