Originating loans in two different states

I am a snow bird and head south to Florida in the winter. I am licensed and originate loans in Washington State.

Does anyone have licenses and originate in more than one state? I can take the Florida mortgage license exam but my current company says my branch here in the state of washington needs to be also licensed in Florida which does not make sense as my current company has branches in Florida already. Any comments or help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I am licensed in Oregon and Washington, but my company does not have an actual branch in Washington. We do however have to have a separate Washington License as a company and an individual loan officer must have a WA license to originate there. Do you know Broker Knowledge Group (Ken Perry)? He would probably be an excellent resource for you.

    DL,

I am the Branch Manager for Meridian Bank and since we are a bank, we can do loans in all 50 states. My pricing and service levels are extremely competitive. 2011, I was #113 on the Origination News top 150 list of L/O's and in 2012 I should be top 50 as I did $95.585 Million in total volume.

I would love to assist you with this loan and helkp your clients. Email me at cbowers@meridianmortgage.com and we can discuss pricing and more.

    Chad
