A friend's fiancee purchased a home and filled out paperwork for the $ as opposed to a tax credit and sent it in. She was wondering how long it should take to process.

Can anyone provide any feedback?

I have a friend who claimed that this year and it only took a couple of weeks, but since than I've heard there has been evidence of a lot of fraudulent claims so the IRS is taking more time to carefully review new claims.
