I heard you can start using the tax credit as a down payment though a non profit agency. does anyone know who is doing this?
I believe they're only going to allow you to use that tax credit for the closing costs or increasing the size of the down payment, but not as part of the required down payment. I haven't heard of any lenders even doing that though.
