I may have to try some... looks like the majority of the work is in setting up the container and then I can grow some!

Upside down tomatoes - are those the ones advertised on 2:00 am TV??? I was curious as to how those would taste...

BTW, the Zucchini is HUGE this year, tomatoes are great (upright tomatoes) when ripe AND when green (fried up southern style).  Pomagranate bush is thriving, and the corn has already tassled...Growin' some baby!!!

They taste exactly the same--regular old tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, whatever plant you like.  They just grow upside down--fewer bugs, no staking, much easier once the big job of setting up and hanging an old bucket or whatever you want to use.  And visitors get a bit kick out of them if they've never seen them before.  Garden fun

Wow Jan you are Growing Some!   I've got small green tomatoes on the vine....peppers going in this weekend.

mmmmmm.....peppers.  We need to rotate those in for the next cycle...Tomatoes, peppers, onions...do I smell Salsa???

Hey you Soil Toilers how's it going?  Still Growing Some?  Some big uns I hope!! Been a bit unseasonably cool here, but I'm still Growng Some--- Maters, Peppers, Lettuce, Rosemary, Chives...yum  Squash going in the ground on Sunday.

Fantastic harvest here in AZ so far...'maters are delicious and plentiful, already put up salsa, and still have to share with neighbors and co-workers because there are so many.  Zucchini is HUGE this year, measured one yesterday, 17" long, and I'm a girl so it's no exaggeration! <insert sense of humor here>.  The corn is so good I don't have to cook it- it came on early this year but it is SO TASTY.  Onions are looking good, as are the grapes.  The pomegranate bush is so pretty, get's little baby pomegranates on it that turn into flowers.  It's less than a year old, so no fruit yet.

We are growing the tomatoes in a screen room this year to keep them from burning in the AZ sun, and to keep the birds out.  Seems to be working beautifully.

I'm going to try to post some pix here so y'all can take a gander at the fruits of our labor...  Gotta love the garden...gives us a chance to GROW SOME!

Ok, not having any luck posting the pictures...technical difficulties I guess. Or operator error, most likely. If anyone has any picture posting tips, please advise.

Wow - I'm not sure if I am hungry or jealous.

All peppers went in 2 weeks ago. Habanero's, serrano's, jalepeno's, tabasco's, and thai chili's. Can't wait till late July when I can burn the roof off.

Habaneros---spicy Bobby! Try 'em on a Waverly Wafer with some Longhorn Cheddar/garlic cloves and Tapatio (i only do Jalapenos myself)Then you'll be Growing Some for sure!

Bob, sounds like you better have some beer with those crackers, garlic and peppers!  I for one intend to try your recipe this weekend.  Fortunately I live next door to a nurse in case I need medical attention afterward.

If you'll go to my public profile and look at "my files"... #1854 is the 'maters growin' in the screen house, and you can see the corn tassles at the front of the picture...#1856 is the zucchini plant, glorified in story and song for it's 17" lunker zuchs around our neighborhood, #1857 is just a small portion of the Thompson seedless grapes, and #1871 is the small but hearty pomegranate doing it's best in the AZ sun...

Looks like your garden is doing really well Jan.  We won't ask you how you measure the zuchini...

I'd love to take credit for all the hard work, but it's my better half, "Mr. GreenJeans" who toils in the soil. 

Kent, hehehe...how I measure the zucchini ...that'll be my little secret.

Any updates from the resident "farmers"?  We've been enjoying 'maters---peppers really haven't taken off.  Lot of clay soil where I'm at...

I lost 5 pepper plants to one stinkin' little bunny 2 weeks ago. Chewed 'em to stems and left the unripe peppers on the ground. I'm hopin a neigbor's cat takes care of the problem.

Jalepeno's comin along nice with some decent harvest. Sliced up a bunch of thai chili's on my tacos last night and enjoyed the burn. Some habenero's and tabasco's should be ripe by Labor Day.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the same bunny demolished my cherry tomato plant. Bunnies taste good right? Anyone have some recipies?
