whose going to miss it?
Not Me!!!! All the talk hasn't done much good (if any) for consumers, or the real estate/mortgage industry, as the HVCC will still take affect in a couple of weeks.
I was thinking the exact same thing when I logged in this morning and scanned the recent posts. I'm all for a discussion from time to time but that was nauseating. I really don't understand how some have so much spare time to devote hours to bickering. Maybe I'm just a poor manager of time
Gone, but not forgotten! RIP[:'(]
If it was dissention that had some sense, it may have been allowed to come to a conclusion. If you do not like it here---why persist in posting?
Your response seemed, to me, to indicate that you don't like it here.
That I'll agree with you on... "heavy-handed censorship...surest way to kill a forum".
I thought communties were made of many different people with a common cause?
I think what Steve is upset about is the reference to the baby burning Nazi. I'm not Jewish, yet it's offensive non the less.
I like to hear different POVS. I don't debate, didn't take debate, not about to start. If I throw something on here that's offensive/rude/contrary or otherwise steps on someone's toes (using "someone" editorially) and they want to respond to me that's fine. That's good.
I'm easily located. I don't hide. Not my style....Now show us your Pic! You're really Rita aren't you?
Also, this is not a debate. This forum is a place to share information and discuss issues. There is no point in utilizing debate tactics to "win" an argument.
And the term ad hominem shouldn't be thrown around unless you refrain from such arguments yourself.
Catherine Coy:I respectfully disagree. When everyone agrees, no one learns indepth about anything new or different or controversial. I submit that discussion--even sometimes rancorous discussion--helps people understand the issues and clarifies why, indeed, there's an "issue" to begin with.
That is true, when everyone agrees. It also applies when everyone disagrees. When there is no "meeting of the minds", then there is no benefitial outcome from the "issue" discussed/debated, except for a select few involved in the discussion/debate. What I was referring to was no beneficial outcome was concluded from the thread (or the threads of other forums) to those outside of the discussion/debate (ie consumers and/or realestate/mortgage industry) as a whole. Even with the allowed comment periods about the code by Fannie/Freddie/NABM/AI and other industry entities prior to enactment (May 1st), it is still going into effect "as written" with a few refinements that only benefits the major lenders and their AMCs. The industry as a whole will not benefit from it, nor will the consumers, since it was not written to do so, if one looks at the whole picture, from the lawsuit that started it to the final draft, and not just specific parts.
"After all the conversation about Susan Boyle, you should be ashamed." I am not ashamed...btw, who's Susan Boyle?
Logical thinking is what has gotten us to this point----HVCC!
No thanks, I'll remain illogical.
