Are they disclosing this info to you? FYI you still have to accept thye offer!!!
It is not uncommon for a realtor's family member to use thier relative for the purchase of a home. If the realtor is representing both seller and buyer it could get a little tricky - but if they disclose to all parties and work fairly - it should not be an issue. If therealtor "gifts" thier commisson to related buyer then you could get into possible "arms length transaction" or "enticement" issues if the buyer is using a govt loan (VA/FHA) to fund the purchase.
Yes, they can with written disclosure before you accept the offer. In a case like this I would advise you have your own independent appraisal done on the property before you accept the offer. Be sure the price and terms you are accepting are fair and understandable to you.
