This is too funny so I had to share with everyone. This an email reply one of my co workers got from one of his former clients. Perspective is everything! Mind you the $2k in closing costs is for escrows as this was a no cost loan.

OMAR, IF THERE ARE NO CLOSING COSTS , WHAT ARE THESE APPRX 2000.00 IN FEES FOR....ALSO DOES THIS DEPEND ON A CREDIT REPORT AGAIN..........THERE HAVE BEEN CHANGES IN THE BANKING SYSTEM DOWN HERE NOW.  OUR NEIGHBOR DOENT EVEN HAVE A JOB AND HE BORROWED 325,000 ON 2 ACRES OF LAND AND BUILT A HOUSE. IT IS FINISHED AND HE MOVED IN.  HE HAD NO CREDIT CHECK DONE AND DID NOT HAVE TO PROVIDE DOCUMINATION FOR ANYTHING.  AFTER THEY MOVED IN HIS WIFE BORROWED 30,000 ON A SIGNATURE LOAN TO BUY FURNITURE.  SHE DOESNT

WORK, SHE DRAWS FOOD STAMPS.  BUT PEOPLE LIKE US GO THRU PURE HELL TO GET A LOAN.  THERE SEEMS TO BE DIFFERENT TYPE SYSTEMS HERE IN THIS COUNTRY.

YOU CAN GET A LOAN FOR ANY AMOUNT WITHOUT A JOB OR ANY DOCUMENTATION IF YOU ARE WILLING TO PAY THE CLOSING COSTS IT SEEMS.  ALSO OUR NEIGHBOR GOT A  FIVE AND ONE HALF PER CENT LOAN.  SAID HE COULD HAVE GOOTEN A 4 AND A QUARTER IF HE HAD A DOCUMENTATION LOAN. JUST SEEMS UNREAL DOESNT IT.....WE ARE INTERESTED AS LONG AS WE DONT HAVE
TO GO THRU ALL THAT PAPERWORK AND CREDIT REPORT AGAIN.  THE BANKS DONT EVEN LOOK AT THAT ANYMORE, MOST JUST CHECK TO SEE IF YOU CAN MAKE PAYMENTS.  MOST OF THE BANKS DONT MAKE ENOUGH LOANS TO STAY IN BUSINESS ANYMORE DOWN HERE.  DENNIS

LET ME KNOW IF WE CAN DO THIS WITHOUT THE PAPERWORK STRESS.

Priceless is indeed the word of the day.  I too would like to get a 5.5 % loan with no job or credit report, can we find out who the person is that is offering this fabulous loan?  I have about 500 files for him right now......

    The best part is:

MOST JUST CHECK TO SEE IF YOU CAN MAKE PAYMENTS

I guess that is what the credit report and documentation is for....

Mike, your co-worker needs to fire Dennis.

Eric, the funny thing is that my coworker did the original loan back in January and I remember this guy being a know it all then. My coworker had to be persuaded to close the loan despite the decent revenue.
