Thanks for the warm welcome!  I had to change the profile picture back to calm and collected Chris Toy.  I didn't want everyone getting the impression I was always angry or constipated.

    MBSDaily:
And if you are going to go with the Koenigsegg, I suppose I would have to take a look at the Pagani just so I didn't look too mainstream with the 599.  Crazy to see what an ambitious swedish guy with alopecia has been able to do since I first read about his intentions to crack the production speed record.

But still, you'd be driving a swedish car!  (he's swedish right?)

Yep, you are correct, he is Swedish.  My family comes from Sweden, so I have this wierd inner desire to own a hand built super car from Sweden that also happens to be a work of art.

The Zonda is also at the top of my list for "wanted" vahicle.

I should be calling clients, but this seems more entertaining:

As far as stuff that isn't addressed in the bio or stuff that can use some more personal explanation:

    - I list SF Bay Area, but I my office is in San Rafael in Marin County (20 min north of San Francisco) and I live in San Francisco.  I do loans all over California, mist primarily in the North Bay and Las Vegas.

    Hobbies:

        - Snowboarding when I have time.  I used to live in the mountains so I have become a powder snob, which is unfortunate.  Working on projects around my house and tailgaiting at Raider Games (don;t get me started on the Raiders) takes up the rest of my time.  Sailing.

    Red or White:

    - White much more than red.  Rodney Strong Chalk Creek Chard is a favorite for the price.  I do enjoy a good Pinot Noir too.  I am still getting my learn on when it comes to wines.

    Family:

    - Married last month and very excited.  Fat black cat at home.

    Sense of Humor:

    - Very sarcastic and dry, probably to a fault.  Lots of movie refernces.  People either completely get me or are completely confused.  Usually it is on the later end of the spectrum.  I crack my lady up most of the time and that's all that matters, except when she rolls her eyes (very often).  See favorite movie.

    Guilty Pleasures:

    - Fantasy Football is up there, but my research has been limited with this site and MBSLive.  Damn you Matt!!  I do enjoy my video games too (currently GTA and Madden) and reality TV, but I'll blame my wife for that one.

    Obama or McCain:

    - Obama, just becuase Palin scrared the heck out of me and I'm so tired of the Bush regime.  Sadly, I am becoming more Republican as I get older.

What DON'T you care about that most others do:

    - Grey's Anatomy & The Hills.  I know, silly answer, but it's all my wife and her friends talk about, so I guess in my life a lot of people care for it.  I certainly do not.  Sadly TV has such a big role in my life outside of work.

    TV shows:

    - The Office, The Office, The Office.  I have a Dwight Schrute bobble head doll on my desk (sad but true).  My boss came in and asked if the bobble head was of me...  Weeds, Californication, Real World Road Rules Challenge & Rock of Love (guilty pleasures), Daily Show, Dog Whispherer (it sounds lame, but that Ceaser is a real miracle worker), 24, & Lost.

    Movie:

    - All time most re-watchable movie for me : Airplane or Traffic, can't decide on a winner.

What would you be doing if not Mortgage/MBS market:

    - Live in a shack in the woods, but that's just a pipe dream.  Probably run a sailing school in the Grenadines.

    Ideal Cars for 20, 60, and 100k+:

    - 20: Used Subura WRX Wagon for the snow

    - 60: new 335i Coupe with Saddle Red Leather on Sparkling Graphite.  I drive it, so I got to claim it.

    - 100k+: Porsche GT3 in black on yellow with black dusted dubs.  That car screams look the %$#! at me.

As far as stuff that isn't addressed in the bio or stuff that can use some more personal explanation:

I had a threesome with two lesbians in Dalton, Georgia. I have no greater accomplishment to discuss and probably never will. The chubby one was awesome.

    Hobbies:

Composing music, playing guitar, writing stories, pursuit of a wife, cooking, pretending I'm better than everyone else, wrapping muzzles on teenagers, etc.

    Red or White:

Not a fan of wine, but I am a very big fan of women who drink too much of it. (See above)

    Family:

No wife, no kids, no pets. I do have a TV that I like to call 'Eddie'.

    Sense of Humor:

I have no sense of humor. Many of my victims have commented on that.

    Guilty Pleasures:

Smoking Virginia Slims, exposing myself to my cellmate, phoning rich elderly men and saying "You don't know me, but I've recently been told that you are my real father".

    Obama or McCain:

    Red.

What DON'T you care about that most others do:

    Humans and their pathetic foibles.

    TV shows:

Anything that isn't titled 'Sex and the City'.

    Movie:

    Three Men and a Gorilla.

What would you be doing if not Mortgage/MBS market:

    Gynecologist to the Stars.

    Ideal Cars for 20, 60, and 100k+:

    - 20: I would never spend that much money on a car.

    - 60: I would never spend that much money on a car.

     - 100k+: I would never spend that much money on a car.

    Ok, I'll bite...

As far as stuff that isn't addressed in the bio or stuff that can use some more personal explanation:

Well, I guess I’m a product of a small town in Northern California that is known more for its big waves and pumpkin festivals than anything else.   I hit the road at 18 with a college scholarship to Boulder, Co., graduated , moved to Vail and became the biggest surf and snow bum you ever saw!!! After chasing the endless powder stash, bartending, and living the life of James Bond( I lived in Australia for a year, Costa Rica for 6 months, Southeast Asia for a year, countless forays into third world countries looking for that perfect wave), I settled on doing something with my business degree which happened to be Finance/Marketing…12 years later and guess what, still doing what I love!!!

    Hobbies:

Anything to do with water…frozen or other, but mainly….

Surfing, snowboarding, skateboarding (yeah at 36 yrs old still ripping pools) and anything that gets the adrenaline flowing….

    Red or White:

    Sense of Humor:

    Warped….seriously warped.

    Guilty Pleasures:

    Obama or McCain:

Cell Phones/   I hate em, and wouldn’t have one if it wasn’t necessary for work.

    TV shows:

Gotta admit, outside of the occasional sports viewing, I don’t get off on it.

    Movie:

Usual Suspects, Shawshank Redemption, Pulp Fiction…oh and the Rob Zombie movie ”House of 1000 Corpses”, that clown is Freaky!!!

What would you be doing if not Mortgage/MBS market:

Assuming I no longer had to work?   Sailing a 58’ boat  to all the nooks and crannies of this wonderful planet.

    Ideal Cars for 20, 60, and 100k+:

Just give me a 4x4 and a full tank of gas and I’m stoked……

    Hello,

    I'm Ari

    Hobbies:

        - not too many at the moment, mostly work, though some friends have sucked me into online chess because I have no life.  Actually that's not true.  I started practicing ashtanga yoga in 1998 and am still really into it.  Just sold my 2006 R6 so my sport bike days look like they are over and am downgraded to dual sports.  I love to surf and read military history.  I travel as much as possible and haul 15-lbs of com gear with me, which is a pain, but I get a kick sitting in some ruin or in spectacular nature doing business with people trapped under their fluorescents:)

    Red or White:

    - Red,full bodied, but a Hefeweissen rules.

    Family:

    - Married 8-yrs, no kids, 1 German Shepherd...

    Sense of Humor:

    -Definitely

    Guilty Pleasures:

-Darjeeling/Lapsong blend with whole milk or Asian green tea, dark chocolate, all organic of course.

    Obama or McCain:

-Mute point, but the Bam'er works fine, lesser of 2 evils kinda thing.

What DON'T you care about that most others do:

-Politics...mostly lies anyway.  Following sports, though a football or lacrosse game can suck me in.  Pop culture...get rid of it, especially the 80's, it sucked then and is worse the 2nd time around...torture.  GOLF, its bad for you, one-sided, toxic environment (fertilizers, pesticides, too much sun), tragic waste of water, and as bad as you are your game will only get worse.

    TV shows:

    -No TV.

    Movie:

    -Anything historical.

What would you be doing if not Lending:

    -Write fiction, travel & surf.

    Ideal Cars for 20, 60, and 100k+:

    - 20: used 350z

    - 60: Tricked Infinity G35 Coupe

    - 100k+: Tesla Motor or that sick Audi in Iron Man.  $100k on a car?  What a waste.  I'd have to go with a Ducati Desmosedici and pocket the spare $20k for the track.

Don here...NO, I am not in the Mortgage business persay.  But one thing I do know that my business would be nonexistence without them...LOL.

I have a real estate brokerage in the Atlanta Metro area.  I have been reading this site for a few years and find it very informatative.  There is a phlethera of sites out here in cyberspace on the Mortgage industry...this one rocks the best!

One thing I would like to have brought up and spread across the internet with MUCH greater frequency is the relatively easy access for consumers to utilize the FHA loan packages.  I believe that most consumers who have thought of these loans, if they even gave them a thought at all, think of them as loans for low income and Hud homes.  If more consumers understood the  real parameters of this mortgaging there would be more people buying homes today!

The Real Estate Industry has lagged and lagged big time in getting the word out about FHA loans and the doors that could be opened, literally and figuratively for consumers left unaware of the possibilities under this program.

I have been posting to several blogs on this and have even asked other Realtors to do the same but with little success.  Can you Mortgage Brokers, lenders, Bankers help in this effort.  I will be glad to assist in posting your info all over the site as well!

    Thanks for reading!

    Don Lantier

And it kills me when the FHA loan does not even benefit them...obtaining a mortgage is not a cookie-cutter process and some consumers think it is...just like the person that calls and just says "what is your rate"...
