Actually working hard for once and haven't been watching the posts much today...submitted 2 loans waiting on the appraisal on the 3rd one.  With one clear to close today!!!  If it wasn't for the market today being so bad this day would be just about perfect!!!

ditto that....someone told me about one but did not get the where or when.  In the meantime, my HECM business has picked up some steam of late.  Rates stunk today, but I think that will ease.  The big question I have is this: If 95-98% of mortgages are being paid on time, what the hell is the problem?

95 to 98%? No way....much lower, especially in SPECIFIC areas. Plus this problem is much larger than just housing.

Subprime loans are not as big a piece of the pie as is being promoted.  I find it very hard to believe that the percentages of loans defaulting is as high as 5-6%.  Indeed, there are a lot of regional stories that are being made into a national story here.  The untold story is that speculation has played a major role in what has happened.  The bailout sure did not have much effect on the stock market or confidence.  The only good news is that oil is now in the 80s and dropping.  Not all companies borrow to make payroll, either.  There is a bill of goods being sold here.

I'd read that nationwide there are only 4% of home loans currently in default, the media is working to stir up panic and generate more eyeball space.

I had troubles getting onto Matt's site this AM, don't know if it was my malfunction or what.

Trying hard to stay positive in this environment.  I'm with you Kyle, there are loans to be made, it's just a matter of working (even harder) to find them.

Im talking about Matts LIVE MBS meetings, where he allows you to see his tradedesk and computer screen LIVE....he sends out an email every morning at like 5AM...not sure about who was invited and why, but I am sure all of you would be greatly welcomed.

Got it. I do recall him mentioning this in an email a while back, to the "inner circle". I'm sure he sends out the daily email to those who have participated thus far. 

Go through all your old emails from Matt, I'm sure it's in there. 5AM is a tough one for me, that's why I have not yet joined.

Justin if you are interested just e-mail Matt and he can get you signed up I'm sure.  You don't have to come on at 5am...way to early for you west coasters.  You can come in and out all day long as you choose.

great post Kyle and you are so right.  Better days are ahead of us and rates even today are still pretty darn good.

I encourage everyone to log into Matt's war room. great info everyday.  I believe you can just send Matt an email and he can forward you login information.
