Any appraisers in the house?

Oh, that's not nice! lol

However, it would be nice to have a decent Appraiser or Realtor around to connect with. Mine's a great and humble guy. I wish I could invite him. He just got FHA certified and is trying to grow his business and make himself better. I don't think he'd act like a money-hungry jag, like we're used to seeing.

I nevr had problems with that Hawtguy.  His comment that got him banned from the other place was vulgar but it was correct.  I think we need more lead providers! LOL

I've never really understood the whole appraiser thing.  I have great relationships with my appraisers up and down the state of CA.  My local guy, who I've used for 13 years, is a great appraiser and a good friend.  I'd love to have him on here.

What is it that you don't understand? I can post my opinions based on specific questions but vague "issues" are very difficult and time consuming to address on internet blogs.

Sorry, I should have been more clear.  What I meant is that I don't understand the nastiness that took place on B.O. between appraisers and brokers.  My point is that I view my appraisers as part of my team, and I like and respect them. 

How's the weather been up there?  Heading to Mendocino for a wedding this weekend, hoping to catch some nice Fall weather!

The weather is great! The skies could not be any bluer, cold in the morning and warm in the afternoon. If you're going to the coast bring a light jacket.

The nastiness on BO is more a clash of personalities than anything else.

Some appraiser's don't understand that they can provide valuation services to clients other than standard residential mortgage appraisals using GSE forms and these services can be tailored to suit the client's needs using the Scope of Work rule.

And most brokers don't understand that appraisers provide business services under highly regulated standards.
