Study Debunks Boomer Urban Migration Myth

In addition to focusing on older Americans' role in the second house market, Housing Trends Among Baby Boomers, a study jointly conducted by Research Institute for Housing American, a division of the Mortgage Bankers Association and Radian also looks at a trend that has been widely reported: a supposed migration of Baby Boomers and empty nesters from the suburbs to the city.

Two New Studies Look at Homebuying Patterns of Older Americans

Two studies out in the last week or so are taking at look at the impact on housing of - what else - the Baby Boomers.

Both the Research Institute for Housing (an affiliate of the Mortgage Bankers Association) and the National Association of Realtors released the result of studies they conducted on the real estate behavior of this huge demographic as they enter their golden years.
