Average real wages in the U.S. grew 1.4% month-over-month in October, up from the previous month's 0.6% reading, according to data released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics on Wednesday.
The report also cited annual growth of 0.2% in real average hourly earnings, combined with a 1.2% drop in the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (CPI-W). Average weekly hours remained unchanged at 0.3% from September's level.
Meanwhile, average weekly earnings in October rose by 2.9% year-over-year, coming in at $612.19 compared to the previous year's $594.88 level.
