Treasurys nudge lower ahead of FOMC minutes
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Treasury prices edged lower Wednesday ahead of the release of minutes from the Federal Reserve's last policy meeting. The 10-year Treasury note yield, which moves inversely to price, rose half a basis point to 2.823%, while the 30-year bond yield rose half a basis point to 3.862%, and the 5-year note yield rose slightly to 1.550%. The meeting minutes will shed more light into a Federal Open Market Committee meeting in which Fed officials opted to hold monetary policy steady, leading some in the market to expect more dovish tones out of the minutes. Existing home-sales data will also be released at 10 a.m. Eastern.
