The week kicks off with two Statistics Canada reports, one on securities transactions and another on travel between Canada and other countries. Meanwhile in the U.S., the NAHB housing market index will indicate how the sector is holding up in August after hitting a historic low in last month's report.

At 8:30 a.m. EDT, Statistics Canada's international securities transactions are expected to rise C$5.000B in June following May's C$10.717B increase.

Also at 8:30 a.m. EDT, Statistics Canada will release its report on travel between Canada and other countries for June.

At 1 p.m. EDT, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) will release its housing market index for August, which is expected to match July's +16 reading.



At 1 p.m. EDT, the U.S. Treasury will be selling $28 billion in three-month bills and $27 billion in six-month bills.
