Meanwhile in the U.S., the NAHB housing market index will indicate how the sector is holding up in August after hitting a historic low in last month's report.

At 8:30 a.m. EDT, Statistics Canada's international securities transactions are expected to rise C$5.000B in June following May's C$10.717B increase.

Also at 8:30 a.m. EDT, Statistics Canada will release its report on travel between Canada and other countries for June.

At 1 p.m. EDT, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) will release its housing market index for August, which is expected to match July's +16 reading.

At 1 p.m. EDT, the U.S. Treasury will be selling $28 billion in three-month bills and $27 billion in six-month bills.
